Loctite 414 is a low viscosity, general purpose instant adhesive ideal for plastic bonding. It is effective across a wide range of substrates, including rubbers and metals.

Product Information

Loctite 414 is a low viscosity, solvent-free, ethyl-based instant adhesive. This product is ideal for plastic bonding but proves highly effective across a wide range of substrates, including rubbers and metals. Perfect for both industrial and general-purpose applications, Loctite 414 ensures reliable and durable results every time. This instant adhesive glue meets the stringent requirements of Commercial Item Description A-A-3097, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.

Loctite 414 cures very quickly when confined between two surfaces. This glue has been formulated to initiate the curing process through atmospheric moisture. While functional strength is achieved in no more than 2-10 seconds, the adhesive continues to cure for at least 24 hours before reaching full chemical and solvent resistance.

  • Low viscosity
  • Solvent-free
  • Ideal for bonding medium to small-sized parts
  • Fixture time ranging from 2 to 10 seconds
  • Qualified to Commercial Item Description A-A-3097

How to use Loctite 414:

  1. Clean surfaces before applying the product.
  2. Apply Loctite 414 to bond surfaces.
  3. Assemble components carefully. The short fixture time leaves little opportunity for adjustment.
  4. Hold together or clamp bonds until the adhesive has fixtured.
  5. Allow product to develop full strength before subjecting to any service loads. This will usually take about 24 hours.

Storage

Store Loctite 414 in the unopened container in a dry location. Optimal Storage: 2° C to 8° C. Storage below 2° C or greater than 8° C can adversely affect product properties.
