Loctite 545 Hydraulic Seal Medium Strength - 50ML Bottle

Loctite 545 is a single component, high lubricity thread sealant designed for the locking and sealing of metal pipes and small fittings with fine threads. This sealant is formulated to cure when confined between closely fitted metal surfaces. It provides a secure seal that withstands shock and vibration, thus preventing loosening and leakage. Loctite 545’s composition not only ensures a reliable seal, but also offers exceptional lubricity for easy assembly.

Loctite 545 is recommended for use with fine threaded fittings prevalent in hydraulic and pneumatic installations, as well as small fittings (up to 50mm in diameter) across various industries. Its superior solvent resistance further enhances its durability, ensuring longevity and reliability in even the most demanding conditions.

How to use Loctite 545 Thread Sealant:

1. For best results, apply to a clean, degreased surface.
2. If using on inactive metal or curing speed is too slow, use an activator spray such as Loctite SF 7471 or SF 7649. Allow it to dry.
3. Apply a 360° bead of Loctite 545 to the leading threads of the male fitting. Leave the first thread free. For bigger threads: adjust product amount accordingly. Apply a 360° bead of product on the female threads also.
4. Assemble and tighten as required.
5. Assemblies will seal instantly to moderate pressures. For maximum strength and solvent resistance, allow the product to cure for 24 hours, minimum.

Storage

Store Loctite 545 Thread Sealant in the unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage: 8°C to 21°C. Storage below 8°C or greater than 28°C can adversely affect product properties.
