Die Attach Adhesives
Die attach adhesives are designed for the manufacturing of internal components of electronic devices. They are used to attach electronic dies, semiconductors and silicon wafers to circuits. Die attach adhesives provide two key properties that make them ideal for this kind of application: the ability to transfer and dissipate heat (thermal management) and to enhance electrical performance. Die attach adhesives cure quickly and provide excellent bonding strength. Their properties makes them widely used in a range of different industries, including aerospace, medical and telecommunications.
Conro offers a wide choice of die attach adhesives from major manufacturers such as Henkel Loctite.
Conro is an authorized distributor for Henkel.
Types of die attach adhesives
The adhesive that is most often used in die attach applications is epoxy. This includes either two-component epoxies or one-part products that cure by heat. Silver is commonly employed as a conductive filler.
Our range of die attach adhesives offers solutions for a variety of applications:
- Conductive die attach adhesives. Available in either paste or film form. Ideal for the assembling of semiconductors.
- Non-conductive die attach adhesives. Available in either paste or film form.
- Full sintering die attach adhesives. Provide increased thermal dissipation and stability. They are also electrically conductive.
- Pressure-less sintering die attach adhesives. Provide the excellent thermal properties of sintering adhesives, with simplified processing. Commonly used in smaller devices.
Properties of die attach adhesives
Regardless of the application, die attach adhesives provide the following features:
- Good thermal properties
- Non-corrosive formulation
- Fast curing, suitable for high-volume production
- Ease of application by dispenser or screen printing
- High bonding strength and impact resistance
Reliability is key when it comes to electronic components, which is why we offer only the highest quality die attach adhesives. Our products are designed to meet the needs of any electronics manufacturer, no matter what their specific project may be.
